Hydraulic Cable Cutter
A hydraulic cable cutter goes through thick copper and aluminium power cable with steady strokes instead of brute force. Cable jointers, power and substation contractors and plant maintenance teams use this hydraulic cutter range where hand cutters run out of reach. Like all good hydraulic cable cutting tools, the blades close evenly and keep the cable round, so the end is ready for stripping and lugging.

Hydraulic Cable Cutting Tools for Power Cables
Large cables are slow and tiring to cut by hand, and a crushed end makes the lug harder to fit. Hydraulic cable cutting tools multiply your effort, so one person can cut a big cable cleanly in a tight trench or on a ladder. Choose a hydraulic cutter for copper and aluminium cable by the largest cable diameter you handle, and see the product page for its cutting range. A round, square-cut end also lets the lug slide on fully, which gives a better crimp.
For cordless cutting, see our battery operated cable cutter range, and for steel wire armoured cable an armoured cable cutter. You buy straight from the maker, with 10-day returns on every order, and cable accessory dealers can join our dealership programme.
